Job summary

MetaRPO in New York seeks an experienced Oracle/SQL Developer to design, develop, and optimize Oracle databases, SQL/PLSQL, and Unix scripting. The role includes partitioning, performance tuning, and batch processing using AutoSys and NDM/Connect:Direct.

You will implement data-processing pipelines with Python and PySpark, automate data ingestion and validation, and collaborate with developers, analysts, and infrastructure teams using GitHub and CI/CD practices.

Qualifications

• Advanced experience with Oracle RDBMS.
• Strength in SQL and PL/SQL development.
• Experience creating and managing Oracle database objects (tables, views, indexes, partitions, procedures, functions, packages, triggers).
• Strong understanding of partitioning, index types, and query optimization.
• Unix/Linux and KornShell scripting proficiency (sed, awk, grep, SQL*Plus).
• AutoSys job scheduling and workflow management experience.
• NDM / Connect:Direct file transfers experience.
• Python and PySpark for data processing and performance optimization.
• GitHub for source control and code collaboration; familiarity with Copilot.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain Oracle database objects and applications.
• Develop and optimize SQL/PLSQL code and analyze execution plans for performance.
• Support partitioning strategies and batch-processing workflows (AutoSys).
• Develop Unix/KornShell scripts and SQL*Plus interactions in shell environments.
• Design data-processing solutions using Python/PySpark; automate ingestion, transformation, and validation.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, analysts, and infrastructure teams.
• Prepare technical documentation and implementation plans.
