Job summary

Sparq is seeking a data engineer to design, develop, and maintain data pipelines migrating financial data from legacy Oracle systems into an Oracle ERP environment.

You will write optimized SQL/PL/SQL, build backend integrations, and collaborate with analysts and accounting teams while leveraging AI tools to improve quality and efficiency. Remote or hybrid work options are available in the United States.

Qualifications

• Experience with SQL/PL/SQL for high-volume data migration.
• Proven ability to map financial data to General Ledger and Accounts workflows.
• Familiarity with AI tools to streamline data tasks and improve quality.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data pipelines for migrating financial data from legacy Oracle databases.
• Write and optimize SQL/PL/SQL to extract, transform, reconcile, and validate large data sets.
• Build backend integrations using APIs and middleware for reliable data exchange.
• Translate data structures and business rules into mappings for GL, AP, AR, Policy, and Claims.
• Collaborate with analysts, accounting stakeholders, and tech teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
• Utilize AI tools to streamline tasks and share best practices with teammates.
• Perform data profiling, testing, reconciliation, and root-cause analysis to ensure data integrity.
• Monitor integration processes, troubleshoot failures, and implement scalable solutions.
• Document mappings, transformation logic, designs, and procedures.
• Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and deployment activities following governance standards.
• Communicate risks, dependencies, and progress to keep large-scale transformation on track.
• Maintain compliance with data governance policies.
