Job summary

Merit Medical Systems is seeking a Database Administrator to manage Oracle EBS and SQL Server environments, perform backups, and ensure security and performance. The role requires 8+ years of related experience and strong Linux skills, with an emphasis on patching and DR readiness.

The position supports continuous database operations, requires excellent communication, and offers day shifts in South Jordan, Utah, with opportunities to implement scalable data strategies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and eight years of related experience.
• Experience supporting Oracle EBS.
• Oracle and/or Microsoft DBA Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Linux.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage disk space requirements for data growth and indexes.
• Backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, patching for Oracle DB.
• Oracle EBS patching, cloning, and maintenance.
• Backup/recovery, installation and maintenance for SQL Server.
• Install, configure, patches, and upgrades Linux systems.
• Monitor database resource utilization and perform backups.
• Implement redundant/distributed data strategies and test DR/BC.
