Job summary

Merit Medical Systems, Inc. in South Jordan, Utah, is seeking an experienced Database Administrator to manage Oracle EBS and related databases.

The role covers patching, maintenance, backups, and performance tuning across Oracle and SQL Server environments. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and extensive DBA experience, with strong Linux skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team-driven setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and eight years of related experience.
• Experience supporting Oracle EBS.
• Oracle and/or Microsoft DBA Certification are preferred.
• Demonstrated knowledge of computer software and hardware and their network applications.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Linux.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Demonstrated time management skills.
• Must be able to work with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage disk space for data growth and indexes.
• Provide backup/recovery, performance tuning, security, and upgrades for Oracle database.
• Administer Oracle EBS – patching and maintenance.
• Backup/recovery, installation and maintenance for SQL Server.
• Install, configure, patch, and upgrade Linux systems.
• Monitor database resource utilization and backups.
• Implement redundant data strategies and DR/BC testing.
