Job summary

Amazon seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect focused on RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS. You will architect, migrate, and operate Oracle workloads for AWS's largest customers, with deep specialization beyond generic database work.

You will mentor peers, publish content, and contribute to product roadmaps. You will work with customers and CTOs to design production architectures that endure real-world pressure, including multi-terabyte migrations and cross-region replication.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains (software, cloud, systems).
• 3+ years in design, implementation, or consulting for apps/infrastructures.
• 10+ years IT development or consulting in software or Internet industries.
• Experience owning and leading significant projects end-to-end.
• Experience architecting or operating Oracle solutions at scale (multi-TB, many connections).
• Software development experience (Python, Java, etc.) and AI tooling fluency.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical advisor for AWS customers running or migrating to RDS for Oracle.
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance from design through production operation.
• Advise on performance, high availability, monitoring, patching, backup, and security.
• Collaborate with RDS service team and surface customer patterns for roadmap input.
• Publish technical content and present at AWS events; mentor teammates.
