Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. seeks a Specialist Solutions Architect for RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS to act as the technical authority for large customers, architecting and operating Oracle workloads.

You will collaborate with customer engineers and CTOs to design well-architected production architectures that scale under real-world pressure and guide product roadmap discussions. Strong migration experience and deep Oracle knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain experience including software development, cloud computing, or infrastructure
• 3+ years design, implementation, or consulting in applications/infra
• 10+ years IT development/implementation in software or internet industries
• Experience in Oracle DB or related software development/technical support
• Experience owning and leading significant projects from concept to deployment
• Experience architecting or operating Oracle solutions at scale (multi-TB databases, thousands of connections)
• Software development experience (Python, Java) and fluency with AI tooling (e.g. Kiro, Claude Code, Codex)
• Fluency in Spanish and/or Portuguese is a plus (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical advisor for AWS customers running or migrating to RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS
• Provide hands-on architectural guidance from design through production operation
• Design and validate RDS Oracle architectures leveraging RDS capabilities
• Advocate for feature enhancements and participate in roadmap reviews
• Lead whiteboard sessions, architecture reviews, and technical deep dives with customer engineers
• Publish technical content and reusable artifacts to elevate Oracle on AWS
• Advise customers on complex database migrations
• Present at AWS events and customer workshops
• Stay current with Oracle developments and translate to actionable guidance
