Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Specialist Solutions Architect focused on RDS for Oracle and Oracle Database @AWS. You will be the technical authority helping large customers design, migrate, and operate Oracle workloads in production, including multi-terabyte databases and cross-region replication.

You will partner with customer engineers, surface patterns, and contribute to the product roadmap while mentoring teammates and sharing deep architectural knowledge at AWS events.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in technology domains (e.g., software, cloud, systems).
• 3+ years in design/implementation/consulting in applications or infra.
• 10+ years IT development/implementation in software or internet.
• Experience with Oracle DB or related development/support.
• Experience owning and leading significant projects from concept to deployment.
• Experience architecting or operating Oracle solutions at scale (multi-TB, many connections).
• Software development experience (Python, Java) and fluency with AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical advisor for AWS customers migrating to RDS for Oracle.
• Guide customers on RDS best practices: performance, HA, monitoring, maintenance, backup, security.
• Design and validate Oracle architectures leveraging RDS capabilities.
• Partner with RDS team to surface pain points and influence roadmap.
• Lead architecture reviews and whiteboard sessions with customer engineers.
• Publish technical content and thought leadership for Oracle on AWS.
• Advise customers on complex database migrations.
• Present at AWS events and customer workshops.
• Stay current with Oracle developments and translate into guidance.
