Job description

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Oracle HCM Integrations Developer based in the United States.

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Oracle HCM Integrations Developer to design, develop, and maintain complex integrations across enterprise Oracle HCM environments. In this role, you will build secure, scalable, and high-performance data flows connecting HR, payroll, benefits, finance, and compliance systems. You will leverage your expertise in Oracle HCM Cloud modules, database structures, and integration technologies to ensure data accuracy, system reliability, and operational efficiency. Working closely with HRIS, Payroll, and IT teams, you will translate business requirements into robust technical solutions that support critical HR processes. You will also contribute to integration architecture, performance optimization, and continuous improvement while helping maintain strong security and compliance standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically accomplished professional to make a meaningful impact in a collaborative, remote-first environment.

Accountabilities
  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain integrations between Oracle HCM Cloud and external enterprise systems, including HRIS, payroll, benefits, finance, and compliance platforms.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Oracle HCM data structures, tables, and metadata to ensure data consistency, referential integrity, and reliable information exchange across Core HR, Benefits, Absence, and Time and Labor modules.
  • Write clean, scalable, and maintainable code using PL/SQL, SQL, and scripting languages such as Python and Java to support data transformations, validations, automation, and integration workflows.
  • Build and maintain interfaces using Oracle HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, BI Publisher, and Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or comparable middleware solutions.
  • Implement and manage REST and SOAP APIs, SFTP and file-based transfers, and secure connectivity mechanisms, including OAuth authentication and certificate-based security.
  • Optimize SQL queries, integration jobs, and batch processing workflows to support high-volume HCM data operations and improve system performance.
  • Apply security and compliance best practices to protect personally identifiable information (PII), support SOX controls, and maintain audit readiness across integration processes.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and error-handling mechanisms to identify integration failures, resolve technical issues, and maintain reliable system operations.
  • Develop and maintain technical specifications, interface mappings, data dictionaries, operational runbooks, and other documentation required for ongoing support and maintenance.
  • Maintain version control, support CI/CD pipelines, and implement automated testing practices to improve development quality and deployment reliability.
  • Collaborate with HRIS, Payroll, IT, and other cross-functional stakeholders to gather requirements, troubleshoot issues, and deliver integration solutions aligned with business needs.
  • Participate in technical design reviews, recommend architectural improvements, and identify opportunities to enhance integration scalability, security, and maintainability.
  • Mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and promote coding standards and technical best practices across the development team.
  • Provide ongoing integration support and participate in occasional client-site visits when required.
Requirements
  • At least 7 years of experience designing, developing, and maintaining Oracle HCM integrations in enterprise environments.
  • Strong functional and technical knowledge of Oracle HCM Cloud modules, particularly Core HR, Benefits, Absence, and Time and Labor, including their underlying data structures and dependencies.
  • Advanced proficiency in SQL and PL/SQL, including query optimization, data manipulation, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Hands‑on experience with Oracle HCM Extracts, HCM Data Loader (HDL), Fast Formulas, and BI Publisher.
  • Proven experience developing integrations using Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) or comparable middleware platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of REST and SOAP APIs, secure file transfers, SFTP, authentication protocols, and enterprise integration patterns.
  • Experience using Python, Java, or similar scripting and programming languages for data transformation, validation, and automation.

  • Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex integration issues, analyze data discrepancies, and implement effective, long‑term solutions.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills, with a high level of attention to detail and a commitment to delivering reliable, high‑quality code.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and contribute effectively within a remote, geographically distributed team.
