Job summary

Alignment Health is seeking a senior Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials professional to own the General Ledger and Financial Close lifecycle. You will configure COA mappings, manage multi-currency close, and drive automation to shorten close cycles.

The role requires 7+ years IT experience with 4+ years in GL/Close, and familiarity with SOX, HIPAA, and audit readiness. On-call responsibilities apply as part of Month-End to Year-End closes.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive IT experience in Oracle Financials, with 4+ years in GL and Close modules
• Solid understanding of US GAAP or IFRS accounting principles
• Root-cause analysis for out-of-balance ledgers and GL interfaces
• Participated in at least two full Oracle Financials implementations or major upgrades
• Experience with SOX, HIPAA and SoD compliance in GL governance
• Healthcare, insurance, or financial services background preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide Expert Technical Support for Monthly, Quarterly, and Year-End close cycles
• Maintain GL configurations including COA mapping and Calendar setup
• Automate close processes using Python/PowerShell and IaC techniques
• Manage sub-ledger interfaces and SQL-based reconciliations
• Develop and sustain reporting using FRS, OTBI, Smart View
• Ensure SOX SoD controls and audit readiness
• Serve as Tier 3/4 escalation for GL incidents and root cause analysis
• Mentor junior analysts and potentially lead GL workstreams during Oracle implementation
