Job summary

VLS Systems Inc. is seeking a senior DBA to administer, maintain and optimize the ERP database environment. You will implement data models, access controls and table maintenance, while addressing performance and capacity challenges in a complex distributed setup.

The role requires 7–10 years of experience and deep Oracle expertise, including RMAN, Dataguard and Linux administration. Strong communication and problem-solving skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Requires 7–10 years of database administration experience.
• Strong DBA experience with Oracle 19c and OCI.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases to OCI.
• Familiar with Oracle RAC/ASM on Linux and Data Guard.
• Proficient in RMAN backup and recovery; strong troubleshooting.
• Ability to communicate effectively; reports to a manager.

Responsibilities

• Administers, maintains, develops and implements policies and procedures for ERP database security and integrity.
• Implements data models and database designs, data access and table maintenance codes.
• Resolves ERP database performance, capacity issues, replication and other distributed data issues.
• May require a bachelor’s degree; performs a variety of tasks under general supervision.
