Job summary

Corning Incorporated is seeking a Senior Database Developer (Oracle/SQL) to lead and support global Oracle database environments. You will ensure platform stability, partner with application teams, and contribute to service level objectives across the enterprise.

The role requires strong leadership, deep Oracle/SQL expertise, and a track record in manufacturing IT environments, with opportunities to influence multi-cloud strategies and drive performance improvements.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience.
• 7+ years IT experience as an Oracle Database Administrator.
• Experience as DBA and production support across multiple database techs.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, OEM; Linux scripting.

Responsibilities

• Provide production support for 24x7 database environments.
• Administer installation, configuration, patching, upgrades; backup & recovery.
• Participate in Change Advisory Board; perform RCA and propose resolutions.
• Provide off-hours support for critical production issues.
