Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners seeks a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support the development, troubleshooting, optimization, and sustainment of enterprise-scale Oracle database applications and data integration solutions.

This role emphasizes hands-on SQL/PL/SQL development, production issue resolution, script remediation, ad hoc data analysis, and maintenance of critical data feeds and integration endpoints.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Oracle Database development and support.
• Bachelor's degree in CS/IT or related field; four years additional experience accepted for degree.
• Experience troubleshooting production issues and tuning performance in high-volume environments.
• Familiarity with NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file-based data exchanges for enterprise integrations.
• Knowledge of Oracle RAC, RMAN, Data Guard, security controls, and release management practices.

Responsibilities

• Debug and resolve complex Oracle SQL/PL/SQL issues across environments.
• Refactor and maintain SQL/PL/SQL code including packages, procedures, and triggers.
• Develop ad hoc queries and scripts for investigations, reporting, and data validation.
• Maintain enterprise data feeds and integrations involving Oracle DBs, NiFi, AWS, APIs, and file transfers.
• Coordinate remediation with technical teams and perform root-cause analyses for failed data flows.
• Tune workloads using execution plans, indexing, partitioning, and optimizer statistics.
