Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners, Inc. seeks a senior Database Engineer to architect, implement, and support mission-critical database solutions. You will design schemas, tune performance, and manage Oracle DB, Data Guard, and EM environments on Linux.

Strong scripting and automation are required, with a focus on security and reliability. The role requires an active DoD-style security posture, 8570 IAT II certification, and a track record of large-scale database projects.

Qualifications

• Ten years of experience as a Database Engineer in similar scope and complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline; five years may substitute for the degree.
• Extensive Oracle DB, Enterprise Manager, and Data Guard experience.
• Proficiency with Linux OS, Bash scripting, and security certifications (IAT II).

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain relational and OO database solutions.
• Install, configure, patch, and administer Oracle DB environments.
• Develop database structures balancing performance and security.
• Create parser software, loading tools, and automation scripts.
• Analyze performance and plan long-term DB strategies.
• Lead DB development and modernization efforts.
