Job summary

CGS Federal is hiring a Senior Oracle APEX Developer to support a broad range of IT services for government clients in the Detroit area. You will lead the full lifecycle development of Oracle applications, primarily using Oracle APEX, and deliver enterprise solutions with strong emphasis on performance and security.

The ideal candidate is a US citizen with 8+ years of Oracle experience, capable of obtaining a public trust clearance and communicating effectively with stakeholders to translate

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 8+ years experience or related certifications considered in lieu of degree
• U.S. Citizen
• Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust security clearance
• Experience with secure network programming in Oracle environments (certificates, HTTPS)
• Experience with full lifecycle development of Oracle Applications (APEX)
• Experience with Oracle IDEs such as Quest Toa(d) and Oracle SQL Developer
• Experience with JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS, HTML
• Experience with PL/SQL, Java, Windows PowerShell, Unix shell scripting
• Experience with unstructured data handling (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType) in Oracle
• Experience establishing goals and meeting project plan objectives
• Ability to write and maintain system documentation
• Excellent communication and teamwork; Agile development; Customer interface experience
• Government contracting experience, DOJ preferred
• Current DOJ clearance preferred

Responsibilities

• Support full lifecycle development of custom Oracle Applications with Oracle APEX tooling
• Develop and enhance Oracle APEX applications and reports
• Work with Oracle IDEs like Quest Toa and Oracle SQL Developer
• Create dynamic web content using JQuery, Ajax, JavaScript, CSS and HTML
• Handle Oracle database objects and unstructured data (BLOBs, CLOBs, JSON, XMLType)
• Integrate BI Publisher templates and web services
• Deliver enterprise-level workflow-centric applications and automate business processes
• Translate requirements from customers into actionable development tasks
