Job summary

MeeBoss, an on-site role in New York, seeks platform engineers to own the shared platform and data layer enabling multiple product teams. You will shape the agent framework, orchestration, verification, observability, and internal tooling, collaborating closely with the CTO and finance stakeholders.

You will implement scalable data pipelines across ERPs, banks, payroll, and CRM, and contribute full-stack work when needed.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of backend or platform software engineering, primarily in Python.
  • Track record of building foundational platform or infrastructure systems that run at scale.
  • At least one high-impact, cross-functional engineering project you led that held up in production.
  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems and data infrastructure, ideally on AWS.
  • Strong hands-on coding ability you can demonstrate in a technical interview.
  • Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.
  • Enough full-stack range to ship TypeScript and React frontend work when needed.
  • Comfort explaining technical solutions to finance teams, controllers, and CFOs.
  • A degree in computer science or a CS-heavy math or engineering field.

Responsibilities

  • Build and own the core agent platform: frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and the tooling other engineering pods ship on.
  • Design the data platform that ingests, normalizes, and reconciles records from ERPs, banks, billing, payroll, and CRM systems.
  • Sit with finance teams and controllers to understand their workflows, then turn what you learn into reusable platform building blocks.
  • Make architecture calls when the path isn't clear, find the bottlenecks, and ship full-stack when a problem needs it.
  • Lead cross-team technical work that lets the whole engineering org move faster as revenue grows.

Job description

On-site (New York, NY) | $180K to $270K | 2 openings

About the company

An early-stage, venture-backed AI startup automating the work of corporate finance teams.

Its AI agents plug into the systems a company already runs (ERPs, banks, billing, payroll, CRM, contracts, even spreadsheets and email) and handle close, reconciliation, collections, treasury, reporting, and audit prep, so finance staff only step in on exceptions.

Revenue is in the low millions and the company is pushing to roughly triple it this year, with customer contracts often expanding quickly after signing. It's a team of about 25, now scaling hiring after its Series A.

The role You'll own the shared platform that every product team at the company builds on: the agent framework, orchestration, verification, observability, and internal developer tooling.

You'll also design the financial data layer that pulls in messy data from many source systems and turns it into numbers customers can trust. There's no management layer between you and the CTO, and you'll spend real time with customers and controllers learning how their finance workflows actually run.

The team is hiring 2 platform engineers at once, so you'll be shaping the foundation alongside another senior builder rather than alone. What you’ll do

  • Build and own the core agent platform: frameworks, orchestration, verification, observability, and the tooling other engineering pods ship on
  • Design the data platform that ingests, normalizes, and reconciles records from ERPs, banks, billing, payroll, and CRM systems
  • Sit with finance teams and controllers to understand their workflows, then turn what you learn into reusable platform building blocks
  • Make architecture calls when the path isn't clear, find the bottlenecks, and ship full-stack when a problem needs it
  • Lead cross-team technical work that lets the whole engineering org move faster as revenue grows
What you must bring
  • 4+ years of backend or platform software engineering, primarily in Python
  • A track record of building foundational platform or infrastructure systems that run at scale
  • At least one high-impact, cross-functional engineering project you led that held up in production
  • Deep knowledge of distributed systems and data infrastructure, ideally on AWS
  • Strong hands-on coding ability you can demonstrate in a technical interview, not just on a resume
  • Daily, fluent use of AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code
  • Enough full-stack range to ship TypeScript and React frontend work when needed
  • Comfort explaining technical solutions directly to finance teams, controllers, and CFOs
  • A degree in computer science or a CS-heavy math or engineering field
Nice to have
  • Production experience with agentic AI or LLM platforms: agent orchestration, evals, retrieval
  • Time at an early-stage startup (pre-Series B)
  • Background in fintech, accounting, ERP, payments, or ledger systems
  • Experience building enterprise integrations and financial data pipelines
Compensation & logistics
  • $180K to $270K base salary plus 0.1% to 0.5% equity
  • Benefits include medical, dental, and vision for you and your dependents, a 401(k) match, meals, and a stocked office
  • On-site five days a week in New York, NY
  • Early-stage startup pace, typically 50 to 60 hours a week
  • 2 openings
  • Open to visa transfers, including OPT and H-1B transfers
This isn't the right fit if
  • Your experience is only at banks, consultancies, or enterprise IT, with no time at a high-growth startup or a fast-moving product engineering team
  • You hold a staff-level title but can't point to a foundational system you built that other teams came to depend on
  • You haven't written much production code yourself recently
  • You aren't fully committed to working in person in New York five days a week
