Our client, one of the fastest-growing AI companies in New York, is seeking a hands-on product engineer to define how people work with AI agents. You will shape product vision, architect front-end apps and APIs, and ship solutions that enable agent-driven workflows.

You will work in dynamic pods with quarterly reformation, collaborating across product engineering, agent platforms, data, and internal AI systems.

Formación

• 5 to 10 years of software engineering experience.
• Strong full-stack product engineering background with user-facing focus.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python and Postgres.
• Most recent experience at a high-growth startup or top quantitative firm.
• Track record of 2+ year tenures at recognized, high-growth companies.
• Degree from a top-tier university.
• Experience building LLM or agent-powered features is a strong plus.

Responsabilidades

• Shape the product vision and build user-facing experiences for agent-driven workflows.
• Architect front-end applications and APIs that work together cleanly.
• Form strong opinions on the right way to solve customer problems, then ship them.
• Tackle hard questions about trusting nondeterministic agents vs traditional software.
• Manage agent state and data across long runs (hours).
• Define appropriate abstraction levels for tools agents use.
• Trace outcomes back to specific decisions in long agent runs.

Our client is one of the fastest-growing AI companies in New York. They build long-horizon AI agents that work autonomously for hours at a time, completing real end-to-end workflows for some of the largest professional services firms in the country. They recently closed a nine-figure Series B at a unicorn valuation, have more customer demand than they can meet, and are scaling their engineering team.

This is a hands-on product engineering seat for someone who wants to define how people work alongside AI agents.

How the team works

There are no fixed functional teams. Engineers work in small pods built around specific goals, and those pods re-form every quarter as priorities change. Over time you can work across:

• Product engineering, the core focus of this hire
• Agent engineering: context design and tool design for agents
• Agent platform: harness engineering and evaluation systems
• Platform and infrastructure
• Agent data: getting accurate, low-latency external data to agents
• Internal AI systems that automate the company’s own work, from recruiting to sales to engineering

What you’ll do

• Shape the product vision and build user-facing experiences for agent-driven workflows
• Architect front-end applications and APIs that work together cleanly
• Form strong opinions on the right way to solve customer problems, then ship them
• Work on hard open questions, such as:
• How do you make users as comfortable trusting a nondeterministic agent as they are trusting traditional software?
• How do you manage agent state and data across runs that last for hours?
• What’s the right level of abstraction for the tools an agent uses?
• How do you trace outcomes back to specific decisions in a long agent run?

What we’re looking for

• 5 to 10 years of software engineering experience
• Strong full-stack product engineering background: user-facing, product-minded, comfortable leaning front-end
• Experience with React, TypeScript, Python and Postgres
• Most recent experience at a high-growth, venture-backed startup (Series A to D) or a top quantitative trading firm
• A track record of 2+ year tenures at recognized, high-growth companies
• Degree from a top-tier university
• Experience building LLM or agent-powered product features is a strong plus

Details

• Location: New York City, onsite 5 days a week
• Compensation: $100,000 to $300,000 base, depending on level, plus meaningful equity
