Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 3-5 years of hands-on scheduling experience in a hospital/surgery center or high-volume surgery practice (or equivalent).
• 2-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience in a high-volume environment.
• Prior anesthesia scheduling experience preferred.
• Certification in medical terminology is helpful.
• Working knowledge of scheduling, physician practices, and OR workflows.
• Proven ability to collaborate with physicians, staff, and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of the scheduling department and oversee staff functions.
• Interview, hire, and train staff; ensure policy compliance and performance standards.
• Provide leadership and reporting; manage staffing coverage and manpower needs.
• Maintain cross-coverage data and updated division policies.
• Support budget maintenance and problem resolution in scheduling operations.
