Job summary

KLA in Milpitas, CA is seeking a highly skilled engineer to design the next generation of broadband plasma wafer inspection systems. The role focuses on opto-mechanical assemblies from concept through release to production.

You will use Creo and ANSYS for design validation, work with cross-functional teams, and drive tolerance analyses, optical mounting, and heat transfer considerations to ensure robust, manufacturable products.

Qualifications

• Doctorate with related work experience (3+ years).
• Master's degree with related work experience (6+ years).
• Bachelor's degree with related work experience (8+ years).

Responsibilities

• Design, prototype, and build next generation BBP wafer inspection opto-mechanical assemblies.
• Use CAD and simulation packages such as Creo and ANSYS to guide and implement designs.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure we're making the best possible product including working with systems, optical, electrical, and software engineers.
• Collaborate with the manufacturing and support organizations to ensure smooth product launches and to help resolve product issues.
• Should have a track record of successful opto-mechanical designs starting from requirements to released to production.
