SGS Consulting seeks a Senior Optical/Mechanical Designer to support engineers by creating and revising detailed drawings and layout plans for advanced sensor systems in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

You will work on mechanical and optical subsystems, perform thermal and structural analyses, and coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver rapid prototypes. Some onsite presence in MA is required, with remote flexibility depending on project needs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years experience in Mechanical Design with CAD (SolidWorks or other CAD software).
• Experience with opto-/mechanical subsystems design and documentation.
• Familiarity with machining, sheet metal and other fabrication techniques.
• Familiarity with thermal and structural analysis.
• Familiarity with EO/IR optical systems design.

Responsabilités

• Prepare routine layouts, detail drawings, assembly drawings, sketches, and diagrams.
• Update and maintain Drafting and Engineering Standards.
• Coordinate development of sensor/system components including electronics, thermal, mechanical, and optical systems.
