Entegris, Inc. seeks a Senior R&D Engineer in Opto-Electronics to lead the design and development of next-generation optical sensing and instrumentation systems for demanding industrial and semiconductor applications.
The role combines optics, lasers, imaging, electronics, embedded sensing, and product development, guiding projects from concept through production with cross-functional collaboration across mechanical, firmware, software, and data science teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor-level degree in a relevant engineering or physics field with hands-on opto-electronic product development experience.
- Demonstrated ability to move technology from R&D into production and scale manufacturing.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced opto-electronic systems, including laser-based and imaging-based sensing products.
- Develop analog and digital electronics, PCB design, and optical components, with test methods.
- Investigate machine vision and computational imaging; collaborate with software and use AI for data generation.
- Release designs to production and support manufacturing scale-up; address root causes of issues.
