Job summary

Horizontal Talent is seeking a Senior Optimizely Developer to build scalable CMS solutions in Optimizely CMS, launch sophisticated experiments, and leverage AI-assisted tools to accelerate development.

You will design CMS architectures for performance and security, integrate with enterprise platforms, and create extensive A/B and multivariate tests for a range of B2B pages. Collaboration with CRO, product, and design teams is essential to translate designs into dynamic web experiences.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of full-stack web development experience.
• 3+ years in the Optimizely ecosystem.
• Strong backend skills with C# and .NET Core/MVC in Optimizely CMS.
• Advanced frontend skills: HTML5, CSS/SASS, and JavaScript (Vanilla, ES6+, jQuery, React or Vue).
• Deep understanding of Optimizely platform concepts: Project JS, visual tags, audience targeting, anti-flicker, caching.
• Experience delivering complex B2B websites with gated content workflows.
• Strong Git knowledge and CI/CD experience (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions).
• Ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Proactive, fast, quality-driven mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain reusable components, templates, and content models in Optimizely CMS.
• Design scalable CMS architecture with performance and Core Web Vitals in mind.
• Develop integrations between Optimizely CMS and Salesforce, Marketo, Adobe Commerce, etc.
• Create advanced A/B, split, and multivariate tests in Optimizely Web Experimentation.
• Implement personalized experiences for targeted B2B audiences and ABM campaigns.
• Collaborate on server-side testing and feature flags when frontend testing is not ideal.
• Cross-browser and cross-device testing to minimize flicker and layout shifts.
• Document best practices and governance for Optimizely work.
• Partner with CRO, product, and design to translate designs into experiences.
• Use AI-assisted tools to speed up development, debugging, and testing workflows.
