Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 10+ years in manufacturing or engineering.
• Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 7+ years in manufacturing or engineering.
• Familiarity with CAD tools (Siemens NX, SolidWorks).
• Knowledge of SPC, data analysis, and Lean/Six Sigma principles.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Design Optical Fabrication tooling using Siemens NX & Teamcenter CAD software to create technical product documentation (TPD) for manufacture.
• Maintain new tooling requests in the AIR system; provide progress updates and timeline to stakeholders.
• Host Gemba walks in Optical Fabrication work centers to understand tooling requests.
• Host tooling intake, PFMEA, DFMEA and design review sessions.
• Participate in ECN reviews and provide factory input.
• Create PowerPoint presentations for design reviews.
• Place purchase orders through EasyBuy for custom/c catalog components.
• Use hand tools to assemble tooling and support the qualification and release of the tool to Production.
• Embrace Lean Manufacturing and CI opportunities in all areas.
