Job summary

Quantinuum's Broomfield, CO site seeks a Senior Optics Engineer to design and validate optical subassemblies for quantum computers. You will lead development, prototype builds, optical characterization, system integration, and production readiness while mentoring junior engineers.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years with optical, opto-mechanical or laser systems, a Bachelor's degree, and U.S. work authorization. You will ensure performance, quality and reliability in a safety-sensitive environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree minimum.
• 6+ years' experience with optical, opto-mechanical, and/or laser systems.
• U.S. Person required (citizen, permanent resident, green card holder) per contractual needs.
• Must not be a PRC or Russian national unless also a U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Complete technical projects supporting development of commercial and research subsystems for quantum computing.
• Gather requirements, define tasks, and ensure completion with the technical team.
• Interface with internal and external customers to meet specifications.
• Mentor team members on technical and scientific topics.
• Integrate high-precision optical sub-assemblies into higher level systems and maintain them.
