Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • 2+ years of experience in Optics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or closely related discipline.
  • U.S. Person as defined by contract requirements (citizen, permanent resident, or eligible status).
  • National security restrictions apply per U.S. Government guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, align, characterize, and validate high-precision optical subassemblies and systems.
  • Perform optical characterization and metrology (power, phase, polarization, frequency, stability).
  • Troubleshoot optical/opto-electronics systems and implement corrective actions.
  • Collect and interpret experimental data to support design decisions and manufacturing readiness.
  • Support prototyping, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Maintain engineering documentation and test records per production standards.
  • Follow safety guidelines and maintain lab procedures during activities.
