Job summary

Quantinuum is seeking an Optics Engineer II in Broomfield, CO to design, test, and integrate high-precision optical systems for quantum computers. You will develop, document, and verify optical subassemblies, performing metrology, alignment, and production readiness activities in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and 2+ years in optics or related fields; US person status is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 2+ years of experience in Optics, Photonics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline.
• Must be a U.S. Person (citizen, permanent resident or green card holder).
• National security restrictions apply; PRC/Russia nationals restricted unless U.S. citizen.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, assemble, align, characterize, and validate complex optical subassemblies and systems.
• Integrate prototype and proof-of-concept systems with lasers, optics, fiber optics, detectors, PMTs and SPAD arrays.
• Conduct optical characterization and metrology, including measurements of power, phase, frequency, polarization and stability.
