Job summary

Lightera, based in Norcross, GA, seeks a Production Supervisor to lead daily manufacturing activities, ensure on-time delivery, quality, and safety. You will supervise manufacturing personnel across multiple functions and apply Six Sigma, Lean, and TPM concepts to drive continuous improvement.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in engineering or manufacturing management, 5+ years in manufacturing, and strong leadership. Visa not sponsored; strong emphasis on data-driven decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or manufacturing management required.
• MBA a plus.
• Demonstrated leadership in progressive roles; 5+ years in a manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Schedule personnel to maximize daily labor costs per production scheduling requirements.
• Own overtime scheduling and training plans.
• Ensure machines operate efficiently within guidelines.
• Meet KPIs: scrap, remake, safety, FPY, OEE, OTD.
• Ensure TPM, 6S audits and standard work are completed on time.
• Maintain rigor and fair discipline; follow policies and procedures.
• Coordinate with Production, Planning, Procurement, Process Engineering, Maintenance and Quality to support production and customer needs.
• Escalate issues to Operations Manager; lead root-cause analysis using 8‑Step and 5‑Whys methodologies.
• Prepare safety reports and notify management of accidents; handle weekly shift performance reports.
• Develop Leads and Operators; support weekend coverage when needed.
