Job summary

LIGHTERA in Norcross, GA, seeks a Production Planner to provide production plans and oversight for the SFO line, ensuring material availability, quality and on-time delivery.

Requires a Bachelor’s in supply chain or related field and 4+ years in supply chain or manufacturing; Six Sigma Green/Black Belt preferred. You’ll coordinate with sales, engineering and logistics to meet customer requirements and optimize inventory.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, management or related field.
• 4+ years in supply chain or manufacturing.
• Experience with production planning and customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Plans and communicates production schedules to sales, leadership, and floor personnel.
• Monitors progress to ensure the schedule is met and troubleshoots delays.
• Dispositions products requiring management review to ensure quality and schedules are met.
• Determines, monitors, and maintains levels of raw and finished goods.
• Communicates with sales and engineering to understand customer requirements.
• Works with sales, logistics, and production to ensure orders ship on time.
• Creates, reviews, released and reports the progress of production orders.
• Prepares reports about production processes for management.
• Recommends and implements improvements in production methods, equipment, and procedures.
• Performs inventory counts and adjustments.
• Establishes operational plans for job areas with short-term impact.
