Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an experienced professional to lead operations and maintenance projects with a focus on planning, execution, and client coordination. The role involves working with internal teams and clients to deliver complex O&M solutions across projects in Florida and beyond.

The ideal candidate has a strong technical background, a minimum of seven years of related experience, travel readiness, and a proven ability to mentor staff while ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree or technical school certificate.
• Class III operator certification as water, wastewater and/or industrial plant operator.
• 7 years of related experience.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Conceives, plans, coordinates and leads the completion of O&M projects of small to medium scope and basic to high complexity.
• Maintains liaison with individuals and units within or outside the firm on technical matters pertaining to O&M projects.
• Collaborates with sales staff to create proposals in response to current and potential client requests for proposal (RFPs).
• Reviews draft proposals for adherence to firm, industry, state, local and federal regulations and best practices.
• Meets with current and potential future clients to review their current and future O&M needs.
• Supervises the work of junior staff on project work.
• Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff.
• Mentors junior staff and develops them for growth within the discipline and firm.
• Performs other duties as required.
• Performs administrative duties, including coordinating meetings with clients, preparing project schedules and budgets; and assisting in preparation of proposals and other business development efforts.
• Provides updates to clients, subcontractors, and contractors on project status, startup and scheduling.
