Job summary

Amazon Global Engineering Services (GES) NA Operations Engineering Execution seeks a Sr. Operations Engineer to root cause, solve, and scale systemic engineering challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations.

You will lead projects across sortation and distribution systems, collaborating with internal and external teams to deliver cost-effective, high-impact solutions and drive end-to-end ops engineering lifecycle. This role requires 75% travel and relocation flexibility where needed.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of project management experience.
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent STEM field.
• Experience with automated material handling equipment.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL at the intermediate level.
• Travel up to 75% nationwide.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage lifecycle of challenging projects across organizations/geographies.
• Participate in firm engineering reviews and influence system-level solutions.
• Coordinate with internal/external teams to set priorities, milestones and schedules.
• Lead execution of designs for systems and automated equipment per standards.
• Document meetings, decisions and next steps; report to leadership.
