Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking an innovative Operations Engineer to root‑cause, solve, and scale systemic engineering challenges in First and Middle Mile Operations. The role involves collaborating with internal and external teams to develop cost‑effective solutions for sortation and distribution systems across various building types and business lines.

This position requires 50‑70% regional travel and office presence when not traveling; relocation assistance may be provided.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in industrial/operations/manufacturing/project engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Intermediate knowledge of AutoCAD, VBA, and SQL.
• Experience managing third‑party vendors.
• Experience with Six Sigma and lean manufacturing.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate efforts to develop optimal solutions for sortation and transportation network through process design and site layout.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high‑quality, cost‑effective solutions quickly.
• Manage multiple projects and influence stakeholders across partners and vendors.
• Communicate roadmaps and technical solutions clearly to teams and leadership.
• Travel Requirements: 50‑70%.
