Job summary

Tarsus is seeking a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) focused on eye care to engage KOLs, provide disease-state education, and shape medical strategy. The role is field-based with substantial travel, covering designated regions and partnering with clinical and payer stakeholders.

Qualified candidates hold a Doctorate of Optometry or equivalent, with 3+ years in MSL or extensive eyecare experience. Remote collaboration supported by CRM tools and cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

• Doctorate of optometry, or MD, PharmD, PhD with eye care expertise required.
• 3+ years of MSL experience in eye care preferred; or 7+ years of clinical eyecare with industry exposure.
• Strong EQ and presentation skills; ability to manage KOLs and scientific exchange.

Responsibilities

• Manage KOL optometrists/ophthalmologists in a designated region with compliant conduct.
• Serve as primary MSL contact for scientific exchange and education on disease states.
• Gather insights from field interactions to shape medical strategy and education programs.
• Provide whole-practice education to optometric/ophthalmic centers.
• Identify and engage KOLs for projects including advisory boards and trials.
• Plan and attend scientific sessions; liaise with local optometric/ophthalmic societies.
• Support investigators and guide medical information procedures as needed.
• Maintain territory budget, KPIs, KOL mapping and CRM entries.
