Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an Ophthalmology Sr. CRA with 4+ years of monitoring experience to support sites along the East Coast of the United States.

You will conduct site monitoring visits, ensure protocol compliance, manage data quality, and respond to urgent safety events in line with regulatory standards.

The role requires oncology experience, 30–50% overnight travel, a relevant degree, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative team setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or related allied health field required.
• 5+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience.
• Oncology experience, early phase preferred.
• 30-50% overnight travel required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all aspects of site monitoring including routine monitoring and close-out of clinical sites, maintenance of study files, conduct of pre-study and initiation visits; liaise with vendors; and other duties as assigned.
• Site management as prescribed in project plans.
• General on-site monitoring activities.
• Ensure study staff are properly trained to safely enroll patients.
• Verify informed consent procedures and protocol adherence per regulatory requirements.
• Ensure data integrity on CRFs and other data collection tools.
• Manage registry activities and undertake feasibility work as requested.
• Complete SAE reporting and follow-up with narratives.
• CRF review, query generation and resolution per guidelines.
• Assist with training of new staff (e.g., co-monitoring).
• Coordinate clinical projects as Local Project Coordinator or client contact.
