Job summary

Fortrea is seeking an Ophthalmology Senior Clinical Research Associate to monitor sites along the East Coast of the United States. The role requires at least 4 years of monitoring experience with oncology/early-phase exposure preferred and involves 30–50% overnight travel.

The position supports remote work options while coordinating with study teams and vendors. Responsibilities include site initiation, monitoring, data integrity checks, SAE reporting, and training of new staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or certification in a related allied health profession (e.g. nursing licensure).
• 5+ years of Clinical Monitoring experience.
• Oncology experience, early phase preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor clinical sites including routine monitoring and close-out of sites.
• Manage site activities per project plans and liaise with vendors.
• Perform general on-site monitoring and ensure proper materials for protocol entry.
• Ensure informed consent procedures and protocol requirements are followed.
• Review CRFs and data for accuracy; monitor data quality and missing data.
• Coordinate registry management and feasiblity work as requested.
• Assist with training of new staff and co-monitoring.
• May act as Local Project Coordinator and client contact as assigned.
