Job summary

Umicore Group’s Electro Optic Materials division in Oklahoma seeks a General Production operator to set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing machines for infrared optical lenses and components.

You will measure and verify parts with calipers and micrometers, read drawings, adjust equipment, and ensure output meets customer specs; a GED or high school diploma and 1–3 months of related experience are preferred; CNC experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
• 1–3 months of experience or training preferred.
• CNC experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings/blueprints.
• Dexterity to handle small fragile parts and operate precision equipment.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing machines for infrared optical lenses/components.
• Measure key dimensions using calipers/murface instruments to ensure parts are in spec.
• Adjust equipment to maintain optimal operating parameters.
• Inspect final products against customer specifications.
• Enter product data into the computer system and keep accurate records.
• Follow safety and quality procedures and support continuous improvement.
