Job summary

Umicore is seeking a Manufacturing Technician to support the production of infrared optical lenses and components in our Kentucky facility. You will set up, operate, monitor, and troubleshoot manufacturing equipment, ensuring parts meet specifications and quality standards.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED and experience with measurement tools such as calipers or micrometers, plus the ability to read drawings and handle small parts with dexterity.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent; 1–3 months experience or training or equivalent
• CNC experience is a plus
• Experience using calipers and micrometers for measurement

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot manufacturing machines for infrared optical lenses and/or components
• Measure key dimensions to ensure parts are in spec
• Make adjustments to equipment to achieve optimal operating parameters
• Inspect final product to ensure quality per customer specs
• Enter product data into computer systems
