Job summary

Umicore is seeking a General Production Operator for the Electro Optic Materials division. The role involves setting up and operating manufacturing machines, measuring critical dimensions, and ensuring parts meet exact specifications.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required or equivalent.
Experience reading and interpreting drawings and blueprints is required.
Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers is preferred.
Dexterity to handle small fragile parts is necessary.

Responsibilities

Set up, operate, monitor, measure and troubleshoot manufacturing machines for infrared optical lenses and components.
Measure key dimensions using measurement instruments to ensure parts are in spec.
Operate machines such as Single Point Diamond Turning CNC, Lens Molding, Slicing, Disc Polisher, etc.
Make adjustments to equipment to maintain optimal operating parameters.
Inspect final product to ensure it meets customer specifications.
Enter product data into computer systems.
