Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Operations Technician to lead a facilities team responsible for operation, maintenance, and repair of critical building systems at a large, complex site. The role covers boilers, chillers, HVAC, electrical distribution, BAS, and power systems, with a focus on safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Must be able to obtain a TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance.
• Night shift availability requirement.
• Experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, cooling systems, and electrical wiring.
• Ability to read and interpret manuals, wiring diagrams, and diagnostic tools.
• Skilled with hand and power tools for mechanical disassembly/reassembly.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and failure analysis skills.
• Familiarity with safety protocols and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and repair boilers, chillers, HVAC systems, electrical distribution equipment, pumps, generators, and BAS.
• Monitor system performance via control panels, gauges, and BAS interfaces.
• Respond to alarms, breakdowns, and emergencies with corrective actions.
• Analyze operational data to detect inefficiencies or equipment degradation.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance and unscheduled repairs.
• Lead and mentor Junior Operations Technicians in daily tasks.
• Maintain documentation for inspections, repairs, and logs.
• Coordinate with cross-functional departments during outages and emergencies.
