Job summary

Navarro Research and Engineering, Inc. seeks a Business Operations Manager RR-26-043 (3981) in Carlsbad, NM. The role directs the DOE WIPP Institutional Program, overseeing budgets, policy support, and contractor oversight.

You will coordinate with DOE HQ, state and tribal partners, and emergency response entities to ensure safe TRU waste transportation and disposal. This is a senior leadership position within a federal contract.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Knowledge of budget planning, procurement, contracting, and financial management.
• Experience coordinating intergovernmental relations with state, tribal, and local stakeholders.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead the WIPP Institutional Program, including cooperative agreements with multiple councils and boards.
• Serve as primary institutional liaison with state, tribal, and local governments and public stakeholders.
• Plan and conduct meetings, workshops, and briefings for stakeholders and DOE.
• Monitor TRU waste transportation and disposal program activities and ensure compliance with DOE policies.
