Job summary

SPX Corporation is seeking an Operations Project Manager to drive cross-functional initiatives, coordinate multiple projects, and improve planning, budgeting, and efficiency within a manufacturing setting in Overland Park, KS.

Reporting to the VP of Operations, you will develop plans, track KPIs, lead process standardization, and collaborate with finance, HR, IT, and external partners. This role offers a dynamic, fast-paced environment with growth opportunities.

Qualifications

7-10 years of experience in operations, project management, or continuous improvement roles.
Strong PM principles and ability to coordinate multiple projects.
Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency with project management tools (Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, MS Project).
Knowledge of CI, Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma.
Strong problem solving and data-driven decision making.
Ability to present data to management.

Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end planning, execution, and delivery of operational projects across multiple teams.
Define scope, goals, timelines, and resource needs.
Develop and maintain project plans, dashboards, and documentation.
Identify risks and mitigation strategies; escalate issues as needed.
Monitor budgets and ensure projects stay within approved allocations.
Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
Provide reports and presentations to leadership.
