Job summary

The National Basketball Association (NBA) seeks a Business Operations Manager, Local Media, to coordinate cross-functional initiatives and maintain operational processes. You will support financial and vendor operations, develop dashboards, and prepare executive briefings in a fast-paced environment.

Reporting to the Business Operations Lead, you will partner with Production, Programming, Engineering, Product, Distribution, Finance, HR, Legal, and other NBA teams to drive operational excellence,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• 4+ years of experience in Business Operations, Project or Program Management, Consulting, Media Operations, Finance, or related field.
• Experience coordinating cross-functional initiatives and supporting teams with multiple projects.
• Experience developing operational processes, project plans, trackers, reports and documentation.
• Experience supporting financial operations including budget tracking, invoices, procurement or vendor management.
• Experience preparing presentations and briefing materials for senior leaders.
• Experience in a fast-paced, collaborative environment; preferred in sports, media, or entertainment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate day-to-day operational initiatives, ensuring timelines and cross-functional item tracking.
• Support department processes, workflows, governance, and best practices set by the Business Operations Lead.
• Develop and maintain project plans, trackers, SOPs, templates, and docs.
• Prepare meeting agendas, decisions, and action items; ensure timely follow-up.
• Maintain organizational records including headcount, contractors, and vendors.
• Coordinate onboarding with HR, IT, Finance, Facilities, and Legal.
• Administer Airtable environment with dashboards, interfaces, automations, and reporting.
• Develop dashboards and recurring reports showing priorities, status, and metrics.
• Prepare executive briefs and recurring business updates for leadership.
• Assist with budget management, invoices, accruals, procurement, and vendor management.
• Oversee billing processes for Local Media; ensure accuracy before submission.
• Maintain reporting and reconcile bill-back activities; resolve discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Coordinate meetings and planning sessions; track follow-ups and risks.
• Support internal communications, training, conferences, and team events.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and cross-functional collaboration.
