Job summary

Viasat is seeking an experienced manufacturing program manager to own the complete product lifecycle from development to mass production, coordinating engineering, manufacturing, quality, and supply chain functions.

You will partner with engineering to influence design for manufacturability, drive program execution, and implement a manufacturing test strategy while communicating status, risks, and recovery plans to executive leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 7+ years in program management, product ops, or engineering.
• Proven track record taking complex tech from development to mass production.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills.
• Exceptional communication to influence cross-functional partners.
• Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Direct contract manufacturing experience.
• Must obtain and maintain a security clearance.
• U.S. Citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

• Own the complete product lifecycle from development through mass production.
• Partner with engineering to influence design for manufacturability, testability, cost, and scalability.
• Drive program execution balancing schedule, quality, and cost.
• Develop and implement a manufacturing test strategy.
• Identify and implement process/hardware improvements for faster, higher-quality NPI introductions.
• Communicate program status, risks, and recovery plans to executives clearly.
