Job Overview

Oak View Group, a global leader in venue development, management, and premium hospitality services for live events, is seeking a Senior Operations Manager. The role involves managing all building and event operations at Santander Arena, overseeing staff recruitment, training, and evaluation, and ensuring the facility's overall upkeep.

Responsibilities

1. Manage all services and activities within the operations department at Santander Arena & Performing Arts Center.
2. Oversee daily building operations, maintenance, and special projects.
3. Supervise the Operations team, including third-party staff.
4. Operate ice-resurfacing equipment and oversee ice maintenance.
5. Assist with event setup, rider specifications, and changeovers.
6. Monitor departmental equipment and oversee procurement of supplies.
7. Conduct departmental reviews and communicate operational information effectively.
8. Handle equipment troubleshooting and maintenance.
9. Ensure safety and operational standards are met for seating and event setups.
10. Coordinate event load-ins and load-outs, often during early mornings or late evenings.
11. Collaborate with vendors and other staff to maintain facility standards.
12. Manage staffing schedules and ensure proper team coverage.
13. Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Technical degree from an accredited institution.
• 4-6 years’ experience in facility operations management, preferably in public assembly or sports venues.
• Knowledge of budget management, safety regulations, and event operations.
• Proficiency in Windows and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with ice rink equipment (preferred).
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and extended days.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and decision-making skills.

Benefits and Additional Information

The role offers a salary between $52,000-$62,000, with benefits including health, dental, vision insurance, 401(k), matching, and paid time off. The position remains open until July 31, 2025.
