Job summary

GEODIS is seeking a Senior Manager of Operations - Final Mile to lead cross-dock coordination in the Phoenix area. You will drive efficient distribution, warehousing, and service expansion while overseeing a team and carrier recruitment to meet company goals.

Role requires 3+ years in operations and strong ability to interpret safety and procedural documents, with a focus on cost control and process improvements in a dynamic logistics environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manual
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form

Responsibilities

• Coordinates distribution and warehousing in a cross-dock operation
• Confers with customers and representatives of associated industries to evaluate and promote improved and expanded services in the area
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Reviews costs and making changes/recommendations to maintain and enhance profitable operation of divisions
• Develops plans for efficient use of materials, equipment, and employees
• Participates in marketing and sales efforts, ensuring assigned facilities have the resources necessary to meet company goals and objectives, as well as P&L responsibilities
• Manages direct reports to include Team Assistant Manager of Operations and Terminal Manager
• Responsible for Recruitment and retention of contract carriers
