Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is seeking an Operations & MGMT Consultant Manager (SES) to direct and evaluate day-to-day operational activities in the Bureau of Issuance Oversight, including motor vehicle issuance, direct issuance, and modernization coordination.

The role requires overseeing policy implementation, regulatory compliance, and coordination with executive offices while guiding staff and ensuring efficient revenue collection.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills, both written and verbal; capable of leading meetings and presenting plans.
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to build productive relationships.
• Ability to supervise staff and mentor subordinates with minimal supervision.
• Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management to meet deadlines.
• Ability to apply laws, rules, and procedures in operations.
• Knowledge of developing and implementing policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Developing and implementing operational plans, policies and procedures.
• Managing implementation of legislative mandates and motor vehicle initiatives.
• Liaising with executives, Legislature, courts, and public on bureau operations.
• Coordinating motor vehicle modernization efforts and IT system enhancements.
• Monitoring program quality, productivity and staff performance.
• Ensuring regulatory compliance and proper revenue collection.
