Job summary

The Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles (FLHSMV) is hiring an MS Business Consultant II to coordinate, install, and support distributed computer systems across state offices. You will assist tax collectors with installations and resolve issues, while performing security analyses in various offices.

This role requires travel to Florida Tax Collector offices and collaboration with governmental and private partners.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate clearly, both verbally and written.
• Basic understanding of networking and ability to add/remove peripheral devices.
• Experience in supporting the Windows Operating System and the entire Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience in working with the internal components of desktop computers.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve computer problems.
• Ability to install, configure, and manage software applications.
• Willingness to travel to State of Florida Tax Collector offices as needed.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate, install, implement, maintain, and support distributed computer systems, including hardware, software, and communication components.
• Assist tax collectors with installation and resolution of issues arising from computer systems.
• Conduct security analysis in private tag agencies, FLHSMV driver license, and tax collector offices.
• Travel to State of Florida Tax Collector offices and work with governmental and private partner organizations.
• Research, evaluate, and identify potential system and network problems and resolve issues.
