North Sky Communications, LLC in Auburn, WA is seeking a Sr Manager Operations to oversee field and back-office functions, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. You will lead underground, aerial, splicing, engineering, and maintenance teams while maintaining customer relationships and regulatory compliance.

The role drives strategic planning, cross-functional collaboration with engineering, permitting, procurement, and PMO, and ownership of financial metrics.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in telecom construction management.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent advanced industry training.
• Deep knowledge of telecom construction timelines, project requirements, and safety regulations.
• OSHA Competent Person, Trench & Excavation, Confined Space, and OSHA 10-Hour certifications.
• Strong leadership with effective communication, goal-setting, and customer service.
• Proficient with Google Workspace, MS Office, and mobile devices (iOS).

Responsibilities

• Operations Leadership: Lead field and back-office operations across underground, aerial, splicing, engineering, and maintenance teams.
• Client & Stakeholder Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for jurisdictions and customers, maintaining key relationships and brand standards.
• Operational Strategy & Planning: Translate goals into clear team expectations to meet deadlines, safety targets, and financial objectives. Execute plans to optimize construction, workforce deployment, and resource utilization.
• Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with engineering, permitting, procurement, and PMO teams to ensure seamless project delivery; provide operational insight for bidding and forecasting.
• Financial Management: Oversee P&L statements, operational metrics, and financial reporting, escalating variances and mitigation strategies to executive leadership.
• Safety & Compliance Leadership: Drive a zero-incident safety culture by establishing vendor standards, holding managers accountable for audits and job hazard analyses, participating in incident investigations, and conducting field walks.
• Talent & Subcontractor Oversight: Engage in hiring, training, and team development while managing subcontractor performance, workforce ratios, and contractual alignment.
