Job summary

North Sky Communications is seeking an experienced Supervisor - Telecom Construction Underground to lead underground field crews across Oregon. You will oversee daily operations, ensure safety, manage schedules, and align work with engineering prints and regulations.

The role requires hands-on leadership, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints; travel across regional sites and extended shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in underground utility/telecom construction with crew supervision.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints, schematics, and layouts.
• Valid Driver's License with a clean driving record; OSHA 10/30 a plus.
• Willingness to travel regionally across Oregon and work extended hours or variable shifts.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, schedule, and direct daily underground operations for field crews across Oregon.
• Enforce safety policies, OSHA/DOT standards, and local regulations; lead tailgate meetings.
• Interpret construction blueprints and coordinate routing, dispatch, and utility locates.
• Monitor production progress, manage equipment, minimize downtime, and perform maintenance.
• Maintain production logs, track labor hours, and report updates to telecom management.
• Coach crew members, resolve issues, and support team development.
