Job summary

Race Rock Garden Company on Fishers Island seeks an accomplished General Manager to lead operations for high-end landscape construction and estate maintenance. You will partner with the owner to drive strategic execution, optimize business software, and nurture relationships with luxury clients, estate managers, and designers.

You will steer a $5M portfolio with a team of 35 professionals, balancing field work with office operations while navigating island logistics and ferry-dependent

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of senior operational leadership experience within a landscape or construction firm.
• Experience managing a workforce of 30+ employees across office and field operations.
• Strong interpersonal and computer skills, with a proven ability to quickly master new software platforms.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the owner to execute the strategic vision across field and office divisions.
• Oversee daily operations split evenly between luxury estate maintenance and high-end landscape installations.
• Master and utilize the SingleOps platform for scheduling, real-time job costing, and workflow routing.
• Direct, mentor, and schedule a team of 35 field and office employees.
• Manage island logistics, including crew scheduling, material transport, and ferry-dependent timelines.
• Monitor job costs and annual operating budgets to protect project margins.
• Serve as client concierge to estate owners, property managers, and landscape architects.
