Job summary

DSV is seeking a Senior Manager - Operations to oversee day-to-day transportation and logistics activities in USA. The role collaborates with Sales, Customer Service, and external partners to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and profitability while maintaining compliance and high service levels.

Requirements include a Bachelor's in transportation/logistics or related field and at least 10 years of logistics management experience, preferably in freight forwarding.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in transportation and logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of experience in transportation and logistics management is required. Experience in the freight forwarding industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the transportation and logistics department's daily operations to ensure all processes run smoothly and efficiently
• Coordinate with internal departments, such as sales and customer service, to ensure customer needs are met
• Develop and implement transportation and logistics strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase profitability
• Collaborate with external partners, such as carriers and suppliers, to maintain strong relationships and ensure reliable transportation services
• Monitor transportation and logistics performance metrics and implement corrective actions where necessary
• Conduct regular audits of transportation and logistics processes to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Provide timely and accurate reports on transportation and logistics activities to management
• Identify and implement continuous improvement initiatives to optimize transportation and logistics operations
