Job summary

Brenntag North America, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee operations facilities, assets, and personnel at our Virginia facility. The role emphasizes safety, efficiency, and adherence to budgets, with a strong background in batch chemical production.

You will develop annual budgets, train staff, drive efficiency improvements, manage inventories, and lead capital projects from inception to completion. Excellent communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent experience required.
• Strong background in batch chemical production process.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in chemical industry preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage operations facilities, assets and personnel with emphasis on safety, efficiency and budget adherence.
• Develop annual expense and capital budgets and manage activities to meet budget.
• Develop process descriptions and training requirements; set priorities and production schedules.
• Drive efficiency improvements and meet inventory and customer demand requirements.
• Develop and implement operating procedures to improve safety and product quality.
• Cross-train and allocate manpower; assist/lead in capital projects from inception to completion.
• Review and approve plant invoices; participate in audits and customer plant visits.
